We also park some of our internet-domains and website-addresses without using them for a special website. Of course, these are the cheapest ones in our directory, as the price rises when we put content on site. But do not forget, if you buy a domain, which already has working content, your job to build up an audience is much more likely to get done. But now, we're happy to show you, how this works and what you can do with a domain. We developed a special approach towards domain development.
Domain Business-Model
The business model behind it could be explained how to do "real estate development". What we do with the domains in virtual space is not unlike what a real estate developer does in real space.
If you change this approach, which is not uncommon in the real estate industry, to domains, you have understood the principle behind this offer. And this is how we go through the different stages of our virtual real estate business. You will find some analogies with the real estate business of course.
The property...
First of all, we search, buy, or take over a property at a low cost, which we have the impression that it could be interesting for a business area. So we procure the domain, some of our "properties" we discovered outdoors, others are leftover from customers who no longer wanted to bear these properties and the associated running costs.
Installation of an advertising board
In the next step, we simply set up an advertising board on our virtual property. Afterward, we closely observe whether people came to this table. If the board has apparently created at least a little reach and was noticed by a certain number of people, we set up the first kiosk.
The kiosk on the new property
We continue testing with a small kiosk, which at least represents a business model in itself. What happens on the site? How many people come to our virtual property and how many people also use the offers there - such as the advertisements displayed. If the reactions are moderate and within limits, then we let our "kiosk" continue to work normally and give it new products or offers from time to time.
